Brookhaven traffic stop snatches wanted robber
BROOKHAVEN, Ga. (WXIA) -- Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for robbing a Brookhaven pedestrian.
On December 19, police responded to a 911 call reporting a robbery of a pedestrian on Briarwood Road in Brookhaven. The victim was able to give police a partial tag number and description of the suspect.
An investigation by Brookhaven police led them to obtain a warrant for the arrest of 33-year-old Jamara Parker from Atlanta.
While on duty patroling Buford Highway Monday morning, Brookhaven Police officers spotted the vehicle used in the robbery. They conducted a traffic stop and were able to arrest Parker without incident. He's been charged with armed robbery, two counts of firearm possession by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
