ICAA Southeast Chapter to hold seventh annual Shutze Awards | Arts & Culture

ATLANTA – The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), Southeast Chapter were pleased to announce the winners of the Seventh Annual Shutze Awards at the Shutze-designed Piedmont Driving Club on Feb. 23. The Shutze Awards, named after the renowned architect Phillip Trammell Shutze, recognize excellence in traditional design and spotlight practitioners for their work while educating the general public and professionals about the enduring excellence, appeal and importance of traditional design and those in the community that contribute to its advancement.
The 2012 awards jury committee and master of ceremonies awarded 10 victors of various groups at a black-tie event that included a cocktail reception, elegant dinner and the Southeast’s finest design awards ceremony among prominent design practitioners.
“We were thrilled that Saturday evening marked another year of honoring a selection of unique individuals whose work portrays classical interiors and traditional designs that pay a profound tribute to Mr.Shutze’s architectural projects,” said Michelle Moody, president of ICAA, Southeast Chapter. “There were 250 attendees including the Southeast Chapter members, jury committee, master of ceremonies, sponsors, winners, families and design enthusiasts who joined together to celebrate this remarkable group of individuals and their unbelievable pieces of work.”
