BROOKHAVEN, Ga. -- Detectives in Brookhaven are searching for an elderly woman who they say went missing on Christmas Eve.
According to police, 78-year-old Janet Sue Miller has not been seen since Dec. 24 around 7:00 p.m. Police discovered Miller was missing during a Dec. 27 welfare check on Briarwood Road.
Authorities say Miller suffers from dementia. She was last seen wearing glasses, a long dress and black shoes. Miller is 5'03" and 90 lbs with long gray hair and blue eyes.
One week after she disappeared, a Brookhaven Police Department spokesperson said they were still searching. "Unfortunately we do not have a positive update regarding Janet Sue Miller," Officer Carlos Nino said.
